I requested this from Netgalley because of the title. It sounded like a riot.
Now I’ve read it and it was, indeed, a riot.
Maxine works as an interspecies relationship therapist. When one of her clients gets into some trouble, she ends up leaving Maxine holding an unhatched Draconic egg. Since Maxine sees this egg as a child and she would go to any lengths to protect a life, she goes to extraordinary lengths to protect it.
She has help in the form of Tom, a huge man she met when she went in to sign divorce papers. This is a rollercoaster adventure where Maxine, Tom and the egg tangle with the various Draconic gangs and do their best to keep the egg safe.
This was a really fun book. The world building was great and the story was extremely engaging. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
