Canva now lets you create interesting and interactive landing pages. I use a simple email collection page as an example, but you can do things like puzzles and quizzes too.
If part of your collection page includes a field for the person to put in their email address – then you can collect their email address.

If you use Mailchimp – you’re in luck, there’s an integration option.
For all other providers, you’ll have to manually move it to your email provider The feature is still relatively new, so I imagine the other big email service providers will figure out integration options fairly soon.
An alternative would be to use a service like Zapier (or an AI agent) to move the emails across.
Personally, I’m still going to stick with my Mailerlite landing pages, frustrating as they are, because I haven’t got the time to go and sweep email addresses over manually. Plus, how do you deliver the freebie/ newsletter magnet that you promised them within a reasonable time frame?
All that said, if you wanted to collect email addresses, this is one way to do it.
Other use cases
One thing I CAN see it being useful for is competitions where you collect a bunch of emails and then draw a name from a hat for the winner. Or RSVPs for an event. Or, you could use it to poll your existing newsletter subscribers to find out what they might want to see more (or less) of.
A word about GDPR
If you are collecting people’s emails for your mailing list, you have to comply with GDPR in the UK and EU. There are rules. I’m not going to explain them to you because I’m not a lawyer and I’ll probably leave something out.
