Last week, I talked about how to be more human in your designs and I managed to completely forget about the Canva draw feature – what could be more human than making doodles by hand?! So this week, I’m rectifying the mistake by doing a quick video on how to use Canva draw.
Obviously, this works best if you’re using a touchscreen and a stylus (or an ipad and Apple pencil). I think the main reason I didn’t think of it immediately is because I simply don’t use it. If I want to draw something, I’d use Procreate instead.
The draw tools are on the left sidebar, so they’re available on all the types of design. They are perfect for making little doodles, highlighting text and annotating images. In the example, I take a page from one of my books and annotate it. This would probably work well as a series of images on a Tiktok slideshow.
Here’s the video. Just press play to watch on YouTube.

It’s cheaper than buying text book and if you get stuck you can always email us your question(s).
