Hopelessly Devoted to Holden Finn by Tilly Tennant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book has been waiting patiently on my Kindle for months and I finally got to it! I picked it up mainly because I loved the title and the cover.
Bonnie is totally in love with Holden Finn – the unattainable popstar. It’s a nice fantasy to escape her real life where she’d trying to keep things together for her daughter Paige.
I liked Bonnie, who was fun and interesting (and so VERY stubborn). The leading men, Max (lovely) and Holden Finn (um… interesting) were entertaining. The secondary characters were very well rounded. I especially liked Paige, who was complicated and vulnerable.
I really enjoyed this book. It made me smile (and laugh in places). I really felt for the characters. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because of the head hopping (it’s a personal bugbear, like people who walk around the house brushing their teeth. ugh).
I’ve added ‘The Man Who Would Not Be Moved’ to my TBR pile. (Again – brilliant title and cover!)
