There’s huge excitement in our house today because I can finally talk about my news. Two of my books have been shortlisted for the RNA awards this year.
How Can I Resist You? (written as Jeevani Charika) and Christmas With The Secret Tycoon (written as Rhoda Baxter) have both made it onto the shortlists in different categories.
These books were written under different pen names for two different publishers. I am beyond delighted to have two shortlistings in one year!
Christmas with the Secret Tycoon is my first book for Mills and Boon and a return after a long hiatus for the Rhoda Baxter pen name. It’s a nice way to make a comeback!
How Can I Resist You has one of my favourite heroes in it. It was also one of the few books I’ve written where I’ve attempted to have a twist in the middle. I’m very proud of both books.
This would be the 5th and 6th time that I’ve had a book shortlisted in the awards. Who knows, maybe I’ll win one this time!
The RoNA awards are the main award for romantic fiction here in the UK.
Looking through the other shortlistees, there are writers whose books I love on there. It still seems a little surreal that I get to be on the same lists as them. (One year, I got to be in the same photo as the late Sophie Kinsella!)
The awards are on the 18th of May. Wish me luck!
