This week’s Inheritance Books are from Jaron Kintz (part of his Mandrake Hotel and Resort book tour via Virtual Writers Inc ).
Hi Jarod, welcome to Inheritance Books. Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m not very good at talking about myself. I’m still trying to figure out who I really am as a person, but as a writer I tend to focus on the absurd. I really enjoy surreal situations, and I think there is a great amount of wisdom to be gained from dreams.
Ah, I guess that explains the photograph! It is quite the most whimsical author photo we’ve had in a while. So, which book have you inherited from the generations above? Why is it special?
One book from the generation above me that really influenced me is Fight Club. It really changed the way I look at life, and I can relate to the notion of culture jamming and having a contrarian mindset.
Which book would you leave to generations below? Why?
One book I’d like to leave to future generations? How about three books: 1984, A Brave New World, and Atlas Shrugged. Without getting too deep, I will say these three books most clearly represent the dangers of living in a Big Brother society.
Thank you for sharing you Inheritance Books, Jarod. Best of luck with your own book.
